Although we are based in the UK, we deliver not only in UK but also in Scotland as well. The larger products are delivered in our company owned and operated heavy trucks to ensure that you get the product in pristine condition. For products which require assembling our professionally trained staff will be arriving with the delivery to assemble the product to your utmost satisfaction.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

As a Business Development Executive, you will lead the following business development responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • To develop and lead our business development strategies and tactics
  • To coordinate with the management and relevant stakeholders on the development of strategies and execution tactics
  • To engage and coordinate with the management for preparing the business development plans and goals
  • To conduct market research, play with data and insights, and identify business development opportunities, customer demands, market competition, revenue-generating sales channels, winning strategies for new and repeat client and supply chain relationships and opportunities in the UK furniture industries
  • To head our day-to-day business development functions and activities and take initiatives for such opportunities as and when arise.
  • To lead our marketing activities for identifying the new clients and business opportunities
  • In coordination with relevant stakeholders, to develop and lead development of and implementation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-six monthly and annual business development and marketing KPIs and plans with realistic and achievable key business development milestones and to keep the management up-to-date on the achievements realized thus far
  • To develop business / client proposals for wholesale and retail partners
  • To gather sales data including from the ledgers, accounting software, and customer relationship management software, logistics and customs software and other such means to create weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting for business development goals, milestones, sales targets, and for preparation of marketing and business development budget, and for leads generation, sales conversion and developing the strategies accordingly in align with the company’s strategic plans.
  • To salvage the costs through lean business development strategies and initiatives
  • To segmentize our market outreach strategies and guide the relevant departments for offering the products and services accordingly
  • To liaise with the graphic designers, content creators, and relevant departments for the development of creative business development and marketing contents and materials including but not limited to product brochures, menus, catalogues, templates, promotional materials, and such materials required for executing the business development and marketing activities.
  • To coordinate with the management for preparation of business development and marketing budgets, implementing the initiatives, and controlling the costs whilst helping the company meet its business development goals and marketing initiatives as identified in the business development and marketing plans and budgetary limits
  • To develop the client engagement and relationship building strategies and take initiatives for enabling the company to develop sustainable relationships with the clients and stakeholders
  • To keep the relevant B2B partners satisfied, happy, and engaged
  • To organize and coordinate all of our promotional activities
  • To maintain the company’s digital and offline footprints with strategics and tactics aligned with the business development plans and goals
  • To maintain the company’s website and social media channels including the website updating, social media account maintenance, posting creative and original contents, deploying advertisements, generating the leads, answering the queries, engaging the clients, and applying data techniques for polishing business development plans and client services.
  • To greet and welcome the clients and partners on our premises as and when required
  • To maintain the records under your custody and processes in their accurate formats with data accuracy to ensure production of the same for internal management and audit trails in accordance with the company’s policies
  • To monitor our company’s services and tap the client’s behavior and experience with our business and prepare the reports and convey them to the management for timely remedies and improvements
  • To confidently use our management software like CRM, and other specialized software for obtaining the data and maintaining the records and producing the reports for the management’s insights
  • To use the mediums of communication confidently and effectively for the business development and marketing activities, and for smooth internal and external management
  • To understand and apply the hands-on information related to furniture industry for effectively upgrading the business development and marketing activities in accordance with our strategic goals
  • To actively seek self-learning leadership attributes and use them to identify the newer business development opportunities and relationships building
  • To look for B2B and B2C business development and marketing events, trade shows, and opportunities in the furniture industry.
  • To pleasantly maintain the office decorum, follow the codes of discipline, and abide by the relevant policies
  • To be able to offer your knowledge, expertise, and resources as and when required by the management in the best interests of the company.
   

Salary/Working Hours:

£27,000 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week

Other Key Requirements:

 

You shall possess:

 

·         Furniture industry knowledge

·         Working knowledge of Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi Languages in addition proficiency in English

 

And you should:

·         Be able to travel inside and outside of London for business development purposes

Job Specification

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
  • Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioning
  • Managing and training a business development team
  • Collaborating with design and sales teams to ensure that the requirements are met

Education and Experience

  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field

Remuneration:

£30K to 35K per annum
